I installed the free 3CX 16 for a customer, they only need 4 call paths. All worked well for about 2 months and then after the free support stopped, so did the ability to make more than one outbound call at a time. I have verified with the SIP provider we have a contract and can use up to 4 call paths. Not sure what else to check.

Thanks,
Greg

Settings -> License -> Refresh License.

It should fix the "Free" mode in 3CX.

Also, check your trunk configuration. You can set the limit there.

I have refreshed the License at least a half dozen times. I have the trunk configuration set to 4 calls. It still will only allow only one outbound call at a time. The office is getting ticked off.

Put the system in verbose and check the Activity Log when trying to make outbound calls. Also check the Event Log for any errors.

Please provide these:
  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.2.910
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9 / Windows Server 2012 R2 / Raspberry Pi
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where?
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware
  • Provisioning Method: Local / VPN / STUN / SBC
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES / NO
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES / NO

what does the dashboard say for:
"Number of calls in use" . x/x
The second number is your license size.

0/16 when I try to make second call it only shows 1/16

0/16 when I try to make second call it only shows 1/16
And when trying the second call, does something appears in the Event Log? Like an error (in red)? And in the Activity Log?

You should see an error message somewhere, even on the phone.

3CX OS v 16.0.4.493 Standard Annual (Trial mode for another 203 days)
Win 10 Pro
Local MFF PC 4 GB RAM, i5
Yealink T-46S phones FW 66.84.0.95
Provisioning is local
Trunk provider is generic SIP ( I have over 50 of these trunks in use on 3CX with other customers)
Firewall checker has passed
No Custom Phone Templates in use.

Okay, what does your outbound rules look like?

Also, what format of DID is your provider expecting? Seems like it's sending it in US format (not E164 as most providers).

First lets make sure you can have more than 1SC.

Call your VM then call another EXT.

If this works, contact your SIP trunk provider and ask them to look in to it.

I have completed that and they indicated that it had been changed to one outbound call path, grrrrr ! That has now been changed to 4 concurrent call paths. Now I can make two outbound calls, but the 3rd outbound call gets a message "You have reached the maximum calls, check with your administrator".

I have re-verified that the simultaneous calls is set to 4 on the Sip Trunks.

How’re you testing?
If you are dialling yourself (external #) then after 2 outgoing you’ll have used 4sc. Your third out will be the 5th.

V16 Standard free should be 16SC or 8SC if older than 1 year. Not 4SC so it should work.

0/16 when I try to make second call it only shows 1/16

Yep, OP already stated it's 16SC if the above is correct. But that doesn't say what the trunk is set to in 3CX.
