Hi all
I have installed V 16.0.1.273 and there is a new version (V16 Update 2) available since a while.
I use a SBC on a windows server.

Questions:
Is the new version (V16 Update 2) compatible with the older (Windows) SBC version or do I have to update the SBC mandatory at the same time?
If I have to update the SBC mandatory - how does the update work?
- Can the new version be installed with a setup and all setting are overtaken automatically or do I have to install the new version from scratch?

Thanks for a feedback.

Reading your post , I guess you are on Windows PBX release on premise ?
If so, you are late, latest release is V16 SP5 , V16.0.5.611. (if windows .612)

SBC is not impacted

@aws2p:
Thanks for your feedback.
The 3cx is hosted on a debian server at a provider, the SBS is installed on a (our) windows server.
If I understand you correct, I can update the 3cx to the newest version (first update 2 and the the further versions) without the need to update the SBC on the Windows server now (the older SBC also run's with the newest 3cx version without problems)?
Can you please confirm (then I will do the updates).
Thanks for a further feedback.

I have updated in the meantime.
So it seems to work also with the old SBC version.

Latest SBC version is

on Debian Pbx updates can be automatic if enabled, so you can let PBX apply alone each new update published by 3CX.

@aws2p: Thanks for your feedback.
