v16 Update 5

My apologies if I am asking something which has been answered elsewhere but what I have read in the Forum has confused me a bit.

I am looking for some clarification over the latest v16 Update 5.

Currently, our systems are at v16.0.4.504 and we are happy with the stability of this version. We have not moved to the latest version due to the initial issues with Windows DNS and seeing no apparent need to move from a version we see as currently stable. However, we are due to push put a new 3CX for an important client and they wish to make use of the iOS client. I am looking to clarify if the new iOS client (when it is released) will work with the current v16.0.4.504 or if I will need to move to Update 5 for the iOS devices to function correctly.

I am of the view that it won't but would like to confirm that, if I could.

This is not a major issue, but we have some complex change management procedures in place to prevent unnecessary updating which may introduce instability or unknown issues to otherwise stable systems.

If you use IOS 3CX application, apple are changing the Apple new push system ,you will have to upgrade to 16.05.612 (Update 5) and install the latest IOS client which is in rc release currently.

The new iOS app went live yesterday... v16u5 is now more or less required if you want iOS app to work properly.
