Solved V16 upgrade issues with yealink T23G

After upgrading to v16 all the phones show as red needing Firmware upgrade ...current version is 44.83.0.55 when we press firmware we are offered 44.84.0.95 Yealink T23G FW: Maintenance release.

The firmware upgrade fails...tried upgrading the phone direct...still fails...also this 'offered' version does not appear on yealinks site

Any ideas

Hi,

Please visit the manufacturers website and install the in-between versions manually.

If the phone firmware is too old it will reject much newer firmware, this is enforced by the manufacturer probably to avoid bricking your devices.

tried various older versions...still getting firmware upgrade failed...anyone else using Yealink T23G's with V16?

If the ones on Yealink's website don't work for you, then you should contact the manufacturer directly or post on their forum with your details.

Did you try to reset the phone and manually update it to T23-44.84.0.10.rom and then to T23-44.84.0.15.rom from their site?

Same problem here. I cannot upgrade any T23G or T46S from xx.83.0.55 to latest. Always "Upgrade failed". Any idea?

Checking T23G logs it shows "Phone Type not match, not upgrade!" but a T23G firmware.

Manually upgrade to the x.84.35 firmware and it will work and then auto upgrade to x.84.95.
On the yealink site under the phone model and downloads this is under 3CX.

Thanks....upgrading to 44.84.0.35 did the job...it then went to 44.84.0.95 current OK
