The minimum width of the "New" v18 app is way to wide - twice as wide as the old app.

My users like to have the app open at all times (they have multiple screens), but the v18 app takes way too much space.

Any way to persuade the developers to make it more narrow? ... Like this:

Hi @MojoDK,

I'm afraid that any feature requests to change the way the Desktop App works / is, will need to be posted to the Ideas section by a Gold partner or above, if dragging the window to its minimum isn't helpful for you, I'd suggest contacting a partner here to have them post on your behalf: https://www.3cx.com/ordering/find-reseller/

PLEASE Please please... can a partner raise this issue so we can start voting on it.... I cant find a single person who would prefer this wide taking up half of your screen than a narrow side bar type window.

I really wish you guys would reconsider this gold partner or above thing that you have going on to be able to raise a feature request.... Its a big kick in the teeth to all your smaller clients who are actually paying more per licence than the bigger guys and we have no way to get a feature request in.... Im not sure of the logic behind this as if the feature request was not popular it just wouldn't get votes anyway... Maybe limit it to paid customers only and or those that have past certification ???

Here's the reason as explained by the staff often:

Gold Partners and above have many many clients. They know what's being requested often and what's being asked once in a lifetime. They can therefore judge whether the request is valid and shall be proposed in the Ideas section. After that, anyone can go vote for it.

Otherwise, we end up with 20 times the same request, all written differently, because "free users" who never used the system before are asking for things that are already included but they didn't do a quick search or things like that.

Yes you pay more for 1 license than partners, but partners have hundreds of licenses sometimes... Premier Customers (64SC and above) also have the right to post ideas but that one I never really understood.

Silencing your customers is not the best way to solve that issue though is it. I read post after post asking for the same things in the forums all closed for further comments - and zero way to request a change. lets face it a gold partner is not going to bother to raise any request that's going to cost him time and resources to manage unless its going to make him a sale - or prevent him losing a customer.

I don't know who's your reseller but they probably don't care.

Most of us do. If I could ask for things, trust me I would.

It's not about silencing customers, but more about managing the thousands of voices and ideas coming to 3CX. But I do understand your sentiment.

I honestly don't buy that ... companies like Microsoft use uservice.com, so all their users can vote. If they can make it with their giant userbase, 3cx should be able to too.

3cx won't listen to the people that actually pays them? I wonder what my customers would say, if I told them that I don't listen to them.

I think it's a way for 3cx to hold onto resellers (giving them a benefit).

You understand this wrong. YOU CAN vote. Just not submit ideas.

Anyway, 3CX has the right to manage user-based feature requests the way they want. Even though I do not fully agree, I can understand the reasoning.
