Is there really still no way to show outlook contacts in the new Desktop App? No Plugin?

I'm afraid there is no way to sync outlook contacts to the new Desktop App.

For the new Desktop App, we do have Office 365 integration available which will sync contacts to the Desktop App.

What if somebaody has on prem Exchange?

The mailbox must not be on the on-prem server for contacting syncing to work. Same applies for Photo sync and calendar events.

A workaround might be to import the contacts every so often. (delete all, import all)
