V18 license on a Linux VM

Hello all,

We've been using 3CX V18 on a Debian VM (Linux) for over 2 years. We're on the Standard Anual License with 4SC.

I'm seeing that the license is expiring on 02.07.2024, and my question is, this will keep on remaining free? Or the Standard Licenses will be removed after 2nd of July?

I'm asking this because we do not want to upgrade to V20 (even if we lose all the "new" things) due to the GUI that it's horrible (from our perspective, this does not mean that it's) and we would want to keep with the V18.

Of course, we taken into consideration purchasing a brand new license for PRO, but at this moment we do not need it since our PBX has only 8 extensions, 1 RG and 2 AA, and we host our PBX in-house.

You will get to keep your free license providing you meet the requirements, which one is to be on V20.

I imagine if you're not on V20 after expiry the license will be revoked and the FQDN released. Not to mention the loss of features.

Quick question though, I remember that I performed an upgrade from V18 to V20, on another customer, and after the upgrade, the license was not activating due to the fact that it was assigned previously to a V18 system.

Has this been resolved meanwhile?

So a live key upgraded from v18 to v20 on the same server and it wouldn't work after that? I haven't seen that posted here.

Yeah, I had that happen to me before, but not on this one.

It worked like a charm.

I'm just so amazed that on these free licenses, not either the Call Log is showing.

Apparently, if you want to see the Call Logs, you have to pay. "Not available for your license!".
