Solved V18 Trouble.

Just Upgraded to V18 and now our media service will not start.
Attached is an error message we are getting.


Here is the problem.
This is our 4th reinstall, from a brand new download for the 18. Everything else is fine. The firewall is happy. No real Log issues, does anyone know why this service will not start.

Did you restart windows after removing v16 and installing v18?

Would also delete any 3cx folders in c:\programdata , c\program files and c\program files (x86) before installing v18

Are you excluding the above folders from any antivirus software

Yes i also restart the computer after uninstalling 16 and before installing 18.

What Windows version are you installing 3CX on? Also, do you happen to be running an antivirus or any other 3rd party software that might be interfering? Do bear in mind that the machine must be dedicated to 3CX as avoiding to do so will potentially cause issues and will also render the 3CX deployment an unsupported configuration.

I suspect that this is being caused by AV software similar to what was discussed here:

If you have AV software, either uninstall it or make sure you add exclusions to all 3CX folders, specifically:

• C:\ProgramData\3CX\*
• C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\*
• Your recordings folder, if you decide place it outside any of the above folders.
