There supposed to be a admin interface coming to manage these for everyone... probably in U6.Yes, I see it in the client, but it needs to be in both places. Customers have central admin teams that look after this for users globally.
It's already there in the latest U5.There supposed to be a admin interface coming to manage these for everyone... probably in U6.
Right, but not in the full admin GUI, yet. I hope it comes back! It's already there in the latest U5.
When you are administrator, you get an extra 'Admin' on the left side menu of the webclient and Desktop App, a lot like the Startup.
Well, I might have bad news for you. It looks a lot like the Management Console is going to be replaced by the 'Admin' section on the webclient/Desktop App, and this might be the start of this change. But not in the

It's not exactly that tho. And that "admin" section is VERY limited. It's already there in the latest U5.

I too don't think so. MCM will bring many settings to users, but in other deployments, that will not always be possible (security inside a company, for example.)Well, I might have bad news for you. Nobody reads the blog posts... ever apparently. Please just read the blog U4 BETA and U4, tons of people get the same feeling about this but the purpose is to reach U6 that will deploy the alternative with groups, etc...
Just wait & see. For me, I keep my customers in U3 to simplicity.
It's usually where you'll find more info on these types of changes. In fairness, I read the blogpostI just didn't read the entire thread thereafter

I spoke to a major customer yesterday about this. They really want to have both options available. Web client and admin GUI.
Yes, the new mecanisms that MCM will add, must make the dummy extension useless because it will be possible without using them. That what I understood.I think the main reason, if it helps, is because we often use dummy extensions to do redirects based on times. Maybe 3CX will have a new way to do this elsewhere?
I didn't see this, but it's clear. I would love to see a future blog post on the direction they are taking here.As the CEO said : Its double work for us to have two web interfaces for all config features and we are not going to do it. So please drop that discussion.
Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
