I too am interested in the timeline for the removal of the local lan, as that is all we use.

I was able to provision a Yealink T41P back in September but when I add the provisioning URL to the phone's GUI or use the SBC the T41P handsets don't seem to do anything. I've loaded the latest supported 3CX firmware.

So is it not possible to provision T41P handsets via the SBC now and the only way is to do it manually via this guide?

Yup, that's my understanding as well.
Not happy about it, but it is what it is. My happiness is not a design requirement :)
You could set up your own provisioning server.

@syadnom, or continue supporting direct LAN/IP provisioning too, yes.

Just wanted to add in case anyone else is reading this and having difficulty provisioning older handsets like T41P.

I managed to get the T41P handsets to provision by disabling SSL/SecureSIP Transport and Ciphers (under Security > Anti-Hacking). Obviously re-enable this provisioned.
