V18.0 Update 9 (Build 35)

We have 4 of the above - all are on-site. Had a 'phone call from our reseller, who does a great job looking after us, who advised that the sites had to be upgraded to v20 by Tuesday 15th April, which surprised me as I thought the move was a little bit later in the year.

In the main not a problem for the upgrade - one concern was that each has some remote extensions but late last year Nick on here kindly advised they wouldn't be a problem.

The other query is that all 4 sites have a combination of SIP Trunks plus a generic connection and late last year when I looked at v20 to setup a brand new site there was NO option for generic when setting up a SIP trunk.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Thank you
Kevin

Generic is an option in v20 just like it always was. It's just not a Country anymore. It's in each country's dropdown.

Also, date is May 20th for iOS Push. Android a little longer I think.

Still, upgrade asap. Stop waiting last minute.

Ah thanks.

(We’ve been all v20 since last fall)

I assume everyone understands that while your V18 PBX will continue to function (with some reduced functionality), there is no support from 3CX available for V18. I would be very uncomfortable with that exposure on production phone systems.

I understand that with some of the early releases of v20 there were some important V18 features that did not make it over to V20 right away, but most of those issues have been addressed.

Heaven help you if one of your V18 to V20 upgrades goes south. You will be on your own to resolve any issues. My advice is move to V20 as soon as possible. You have nothing to gain by procrastinating, and a lot to lose if anything goes wrong with your PBX.
