Hello All,

Is there a V20 equivalent to the three following v18 features available per extension or have these been removed for v20?

1.) General --> "Enable Web Client/Desktop App"

2.) Phone Provisioning --> "Blocks Access to 3CX Apps / Web Client"

3.) Options --> "Block Remote Tunnel Connections (3CX App connections with Tunnel enabled & SBC will be blocked)"

Thank you!

Are you not permitting the use of the 3CX app at all? So extension has a phone only?

Just reset their password to something they dont know.

Hi Alphabetic,

Thank you for the reply. You are correct; these extensions are phone only. There are some extensions on which webclient and app are blocked via the three v18 options shown above. Thank you for the suggestion, however, in v20, they would be able to reset their password if their e-mail address is registered with the extension. In these instances their e-mail address has been registered to enable voicemail delivery.

Is the feature to block webclient / app connections per extension no longer available?

Thank you!

there is a global option in admin console to prevent users changing their passwords. Though I’m not sure if this applies to forgot password resets, you’d have to test. You could remove the email from their extension and have VM go to a dummy extension? Though this takes vm away from the phones.

Hi Alphabetic, thank you for the suggestion. I'm aware of the prevent change option, however that does not prevent resets. Also, the prospect needs a UC system that supports per extension webclient / app control as most users will be using webclient or app. V18 met this nicely. It appears as though this may be one of the features removed from 3CX with the change to v20 so it may just be, for this site, 3CX won't be an option. I posed the question to Andreas a couple of days ago to confirm this feature was removed and awaiting the reply.

For anyone else interested in the answer, George replied confirming 3CX has removed the option to block webclient / app access.
