I'm currently designing our new phone system and integration, I am also writing some middleware to make the Windows client be usable from within an RDS session whilst running on the client for audio etc..
The run external exe on connect with call details is very useful for this.
It's going quite well and looks like we will use 3cx for this, however, we wanted to use the kuando busy light (or similar) as our ringer and so people can see others status at a glance in the office.
The busy light is great because it supports lots of different colours and modes and has a .net SDK.
However, there is no API with the new app to see if the user is on DND / Lunch / Away etc Will this be added int eh future as currently the busy lights have to use TAPI and they only knwo if a call is active or not, so somoen not on a call but on DND would have a green light as if they are available.
I could use the legacy v16 app (can't actually get it to provision on a v20 3cx server though) but then I would lose the run exe with call details as parameters on connect feature.
