V20: Bulk Assign DIDs

Hello,

In previous versions I could import DIDs with the in-office routing and out of office routing filled in.

I have tried doing something similar in V20 but I cannot figure out how. It seems the import function only allows for the number and not any destination. If this is not possible, is there a way to change the default assignment from Unassigned to something else?

Hello,

When you assign the DID to another extension it auto removes the previous setting.

I'm not sure if you understood the question - I have ~400 DIDs which I would like to bulk assign to the same IVR. Is there a way to do this in bulk? Previously, I could reimport the DIDs with their destination as the IVR.

From the Dashboard / Inbound Rules Report we can export the inbound rules.
But then, how to re-import them ?
From a trunk, we can import DID Numbers, but the file format does not seem to be the same...

If the DIDs are already listed in the trunk then they should be assignable - not quite in bulk, but it's only a single click per DDI in the IVR settings.

Alternatively, if the DIDs are not assigned to anything but are listed in the trunk, I think the normal behaviour is for the trunk to send them to the same destination as the "Main Trunk No" in the SIP trunk settings. So as long as they remain unassigned, and that main trunk no goes to your IVR, everything going to one of those listed DIDs should default to that same IVR. I'll qualify this by saying I haven't done this for a while, so I'm only about 70% sure I'm right .

Presumably the export for inbound rules contains lots of extraneous information that shouldn't be there if you were to import them into a trunk. You might simply need to strip all of that unnecessary information out and turn it into a text list of just the DDIs.

Unfortunately goal is not just to import the DIDs, but also to import their inbound rules...

Totally agree seems like V20 has left off a lot of the features that make V18 so great. I don't want to have to click even 1 extra time especially when importing 400 plus DIDS. We do large hotels all the time and this just adds more time. I ave no idea why these features were removed from V20. Not to mention NO BULK edit button??!!

Bulk edit is coming in the next update/beta.

Hi, is this in the update 2 alpha that's just been released? I can't see it in the release notes.

About to change our public IP address and as we can't fully edit the existing trunk. SIP traffic goes to the new IP, but there's a variable I can't edit for the which isn't changing and is using the old IP. Deleting the trunk and re-creating seems to work.

As it stands, I've then got to edit 150 users and manually assign all their DIDs back in. What should be a 2 minute operation is going to take me hours!!
