Hi Everyone,

Can someone here guide me on where to setup scheduled recurring reports that will be sent to email in html format? I find no more options to set this up in V20.

Thank you NicholasP_3CX

Honestly though, 3CX developers could and should have done better. You can not slowly start to force customers to upgrade to V20 on the one hand, knowing full well that they will lose functionality in the process, without any communication in this regard. This could pose an existential threat to a VOIP system that has truly been a solid, robust godsend the last decade. Not only is the functionality gone, but so are all the templates that have been configured and working for years now required to be recreated. By way of labour who is paying for?

Please give your customers a clear path as to how and when to upgrade such that they will end up with the same or a better system (aka V18) with V20.

We'll be ignoring any 3CX upgrading to V20 until 3CX has all the ducks in a row.

Hi jacques,

I tried calling you to discuss your concerns and have reached out to you on email. I spoke with Jayden who said you were not available.

I suggest we discuss this separately as the forum is no place to criticize our product or developers. The release of V20 has significantly enhanced the product in numerous ways and this can be seen in the growth we are experiencing with premium partners.

The sooner you can embrace our upgraded version, the sooner you can move forward confidently.

Thanks for the service & trouble Terence, we can cont. discussing in private. For anyone else finding my earlier frustrated forum post: my mistake was to not search for the blog in regards the V20 upgrade checklist before I clicked to upgrade. It clearly states that scheduled reports are not ready (and therefore also not imported/upgraded to V20). This is how one learns to not assume all 3CX upgrades are born equal. I will not be repeating the same mistake in future.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread, but where is the recipient e-mail location/field for who gets the e-mailed report?

Also, does anyone know if update 3 of V20 will have any updated reporting features?

Lastly, can anyone recommend any third party reporting companies that work with 3CX? Know that 3CX can not be perfect at everything so if anyone knows some companies that produce nice reports, that would be great.

Thanks!

... you can define a schedule. On this page you will be able to define the multiple email addresses.

We are working on a Grafana integration where you will use the data from the PBX to create any number or type of report you wish. No ETA on the arrival of that. It is being worked on, and is one of the features even us internally are very much looking forward to.

Do we at least know what data it will offer and if it will be real-time into Grafana? Aka useful for live wallboards and such.

Im not 100% sure of the data it will provide bit it will also be able to be used for wallboards as well.

Very strange. Our "Save / Schedule" field looks different from yours. Ours does not have that last option. Believe our e-mail is setup properly as we did receive a test message. Am I missing something else?

Thank you for your answer.
I defined reports in v18 that go to a mail distribution group every hour. I apologise, but I don't understand how I can do this with your method. There is only the ‘Scheduled reports will be sent at’ section. In this case, as far as I understand, I will not be able to create reports for different times. I also could not see field enter the e-mail address to be sent.

Yeah, I don't have this field either. Also don't have schedule time area.

I feel I should apologise for a slight misstep.

In update 2, the emails will be sent on a schedule to the user that creates the reports on a schedule, and in Update 3, they can also be sent to multiple emails as well.

Mistakenly I logged in to my test Update 3 system instead of my Update 2.

This one is on me, my bad.

Re: "always sent to your email"...that is the email of the logged in user? So, us, if we create a report? That means we either need to auto-delete those report emails (we might get quite a lot each day), or still log in as the desired user to create the report...

A user can create the reports and define the recipients. Then they could filter out the emails for the reports they dont need. Of course with the Grafana integration they would be using their own platform.

I've just upgraded to update 3 and I still have no option to set an email address for the reports to be sent. I've refreshed the page which has changed the layout but there's still no email option?

Am I missing something? I've upgraded from a perfectly working V18 which the customer was happy with and we were able to setup the reports for them, to a V20 setup which doesn't appear to have any benefits and is missing features that we were using.

You can send reports to any email you wish. You do not need to have each person creating their own reports anymore. The method is shown by my colleague above.

You can define the time the reports are created and sent from the System options

In Update 3 this will be migrating to its own tab

Thanks for this!

The option seem to send the all scheduled reports to one specific time of the day only.

I might be missing something here, but what if you have multiple reports that needs to be sent on a different time of the day?\

TIA

There is only one schedule.

Hello! Regarding this topic, how would i go about it when the costumer needs daily reports for days in the past (in this case it is regarding 8 days) to his E-Mail? I can set a custom report, but then i can only save it to my own reports when I do not want a schedule?
