Hello,
In version 18, you could define a specific dial code to force IN or OUT office hours.
In version 20, it is no longer possible to use this code. Is there a way for an administrator to modify the office hours of their department from their IP Phone without using the Webclient ?

Hello @JulienM

This can be forced now from the Web Client where you can select to Override Office hours and select department and timeframe.
For the self-hosted or on-premise installations though this can be implemented with the call processing script as mentioned here.

So, for hosted installation, no other way than via the web client ? :(

That is correct.
The call processing script is not available for 3CX Hosted installations. So the only option is to override the office hours from the Web Client.

I thought of an alternative.
Since it is now possible to interact via API, I could configure a DSSKEY key (URL type) on Yealink,
which sends a POST request.
What do you think ?
I just don't know if the DSSKEY might be overwritten when the phone provisions automatically

If you manually assign a DSS key manually on the phone, then it will be overwritten on the next auto-provision of the phone.
The BLF buttons must be set from the Console of the PBX on the extension.

Hi Julien.
Please let us know how you went with this. I have a client on v18 that uses this function extensively and I can't upgrade them to v20 until I find a suitable/similar way to do it.

For the moment, I think the only possibility (on hosted systems) is to define a DSSKEY key manually (from the web UI) and delete the provisioning link (important, otherwise the key will be deleted during the next provisioning).

Then, you must send the request to an intermediate server which ensures authentication to the 3CX server via API (bearer code must be generated every hour).

You will then need to modify the office hours of the desired department with API. From what I have observed, the "Override Office Hours" functionality does not seem to be managed in API so it will be necessary to modify the department's schedule.

On on-prem/self hosted systems, you can do the same thing but you can also create a custom Yealink template so as not to lose auto-provisioning. This can also be done using the Call Control API as mentioned by @ConceptsWeb

Unfortunately, this functionality is not available on hosted installations.
That's one of the reasons we avoid Hosted. Those restrictions can be problematic for some.

Unfortunately, there's no other way.

This has happened to me after upgrade this morning, it has to be in my opinion the worst decision to remove the *641, *642 function. No employees have the web extension and seems crazy that we will have to login to a web browser to set an in or out of office, don't even see how it can be done by mobile app! our hours are flexible could be in late or leave early now it's a pain! going to be looking elsewhere ... now that contract is up in 7 days
