Hello 3CX Team,
First, thank you for the continuous improvements in v20. We are writing to propose a significant usability enhancement for DID number management, which has become more challenging since the update from v18.
The Challenge in v20:In the v20 Admin Console, under Voice & Chat > DID Numbers, the ability to directly edit the "Name" and "Assigned To" fields for existing DIDs has been removed. The current workarounds are inefficient for users managing a large number of DIDs:
Impact:For partners and customers managing dozens or hundreds of DIDs, the current workflow in v20 is a significant step back in usability. Simple tasks like renaming a block of DIDs for better organization now require either navigating through multiple separate menus or performing a risky and disruptive process of deleting and re-importing the entire DID list.
Proposed Solutions:We would be very grateful if you could consider one or both of the following solutions:
Thank you for your consideration.

The Challenge in v20:In the v20 Admin Console, under Voice & Chat > DID Numbers, the ability to directly edit the "Name" and "Assigned To" fields for existing DIDs has been removed. The current workarounds are inefficient for users managing a large number of DIDs:
- Editing via Destination: We can edit a DID's name from its assigned destination (e.g., a Queue). However, this is indirect and time-consuming when needing to organize or update multiple DIDs that point to different destinations.
- CSV Import: The CSV import function only works for adding new DIDs. It does not support updating existing entries. Attempting to re-import a list with modified names for existing DIDs does not work.

Proposed Solutions:We would be very grateful if you could consider one or both of the following solutions:
- (Ideal Solution) Restore In-Place Editing: Please restore the v18 functionality that allows administrators to directly click and edit the "Name" and "Assigned to" fields within the main DID Numbers list.
- (Alternative Solution) Enhance CSV Import: Enhance the CSV import feature to support an "update/upsert" logic. The system should be able to match an existing DID number from the CSV and update its associated fields (like Name and Destination) without creating a duplicate and while preserving the current list order.
Thank you for your consideration.
