V20 issue

We installed V20 on new VM and chose to restore from a backup. When attempting to log in, we get "3cx admin console is not responding. refresh and try again" and the Management Console service will not start but just for a brief second, then stops again. There is no antivirus running. Also, we're having the same issue on the old physical box and tried restoring from different backups.

How do you install the pbx? Linux or Windows? Firewall, Split DNS are correct? Hardware requirements are ok?

Hello,

This behaviour happens after you restore? Or is the installation itself that's leaving you without a console? Anything is the systems logs? What type of backup? What machine/version was it taken from?

I install using the standard Windows installer. It's installed on Windows 10 Pro. I have disabled the firewall, split DNS. Hardware requirements are OK. I had no issues with version 18, but I uninstalled it and installed version 20 and now the management console will not start.

Yes, I restore from backup during the installation of version 20. I've attempted several backups, but no change. I used the full backup feature in 3CX. I've tried on both a physical Dell Optiplex 790 and a VM both with Windows 10 Pro, Intel i5-2500S 2.7Ghz, 16GB memory, 500GB hard drive space. I'm not sure where to look in the system logs for this issue. But event viewer shows management console failing to start.

Did you try to install without backup and a trial licence just to check its not the backup? Why not using linux?

Hi @behill01 ,

Given this log I would suggest you redo the v20 VM from scratch and restore again to see if it works. Otherwise you will need to open a ticket to have it checked in greater detail.

Best,
KS.
