Where did V20 move the SIP Outbound Parameters? I'm trying to change the outgoing caller ID, and I cannot find it.

In version 18 this was easy to find, but I cannot figure this out in Version 20.

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I've attached a picture from V18 and V20

please help.

I'm just trying to get the outgoing calls to show the company's name, i don't care how it is done.

Hi @TRAVISCC, it is still a beta version, in the incomings releases there will be more features, the team is working hard to get an awesome product, stay tuned to the blog in the coming days.

Have a great weekend!

To edit a trunk in v20 you will need to export, edit the xml, and reimport the file.

Is this still the only way to change outbound parameters? By reimporting I have to add it as new trunk and setup everything again... Not very convenient imho.

I'm not aware of any other official / supported method at this time.

Could we please have an update of when we can expect SIP Trunk parameters to be available again ?

3CX is no longer in Beta and these options are quite important.

This was also very important as its the only way our SIP provider (Fuse2) have said they can allow us to forward to external number the original caller ID - they are also recommending all their users hold off on the upgrade until this comes - and they are a preferred trunk provider!

I'm currently facing some challenges while configuring the SIP Trunk Outbound Parameters with version 20. It appears there are some missing parameters in the trunk configuration that were present in the previous version, We need these parameters for trunk configuration. For example, the second proxy.

Still facing this issue. Today i needed to change the FROM header in the SIP invites. Default the host part contains the IP of the trunk/gateway you configured. We need this to be the IP of the PBX itself, like you would expect. In V18 you could change the FromHostPart in the Outbound Parameters on the trunk to be using the ContactUri. I managed to change this by using the export/import function for the provider and change this in the XML. But it would be nice to get an confirmation it will be working like this in V20? If, for some reason, this parameter will be phased out in the future we would have a problem. Other option (my preference) would be to bring back the outbound parameters option to the trunk configuration pages.

Another option would be to use a provider supported by 3CX or ask your provider to comply with 3CX requirements. ;)

Supported SIP Trunk Providers :

Interop :
https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk-test-plan/

Many providers make the effort to adhere to 3CX standards; you should encourage your provider to do the same!

Good luck !
