I am looking for clarification on voicemail transcription (not call transcription): Is voicemail transcription free on PRO licenses, or Enterprise only?

As of now on my test PRO licensed 3CX instance that is on update 4, there is no "3CX" option in the Transcription Engine dropdown, and voicemails are not being transcribed.

OK the question has been posted a few times but here it goes

A. Google Transcription is part of PRO and has been part of v18. You can transcribe voice mail and whatever you want as long as you use Google remote storage. This is a requirement of the Google transcription API

B. On Enterprise, we are going to make voice mail transcription using 3CX AI free. For now call transcription is free for testing purposes. You can also use OpenAI if you like if you have the Enterprise edition. Yes OpenAI integration requires enterprise edition.

We dont have any plans to update the CFD quite honestly. We are going to invest in the call flow scripts - more samples and hopefully in time we might try to use AI to make it easier to create more scripts.

Using the web api in update 4 you can already integrate openAI quite easily. We can definitely provide some samples for that - maybe one that answers a call and responds in voice....

I believe OpenAI is only allowed on ENT licenses and is enforced now. We have ENT and see OpenAI with no issues.

That would have been nice to see in the release notes! I have clients relying on that and have no desire to store their voicemail in google storage to unlock that transcription.

Not sure how you run things, but normally for our systems we install updates and test before installing on a live system. That way can test and ensure everything tests out well. I do recall seeing though the ENT license requirements in blog post around transcription. I believe it was stated the initial OpenAI transcription, although seen would eventually need an ENT license to continue using. I can tell you it works fine with the ENT license.

Good to know about the OpenAI! I have a Pro license and have loved it since we installed 20 a couple months ago. I don't want to lose it.

If Enterprise is free for the rest of the year with new 3CX transcription, what does Pro get?

Update: I was able to roll back to update 3 with an APT command in the host OS, OpenAI transcription restored!
I'm sure this is something that is not recommended but it worked for me and I haven't seen any ill effects.

I am disappointed to read that the CFD will not be updated. It works very well and is a good GUI. The one feature I was hoping for was the ability for the CFD to read Department Hours rather than having to add in the C# script every time a CFD is changed.

I have Pro and just updated. Where is the free voicemail transcription settings? I know Open AI is gone, but my only option is Transcription is Google.
