v20 unable to change Backups location other than local file system

Recently updated an on site installation to version 20. We are wanting to change the location of backups from local file system to an SMB share or FTP location, but unfortunately we are unable to do so because the option is not available. Instead of the usual 'Location' button, we have a 'Settings' button. When pressing the Settings button the only option we get is to select a local file system folder. I have tried this as System Owner and also as System Administrator, but get the same result both times. System is Version 20.0 Update 3 (Build 659 Alpha) on a small PC.





What are we missing here, and why the 'Settings' button instead of the 'Location' button? Is this because of the 'Alpha' build?
