Hi 3CX Team,
We have updated our Lab environment to Version 20.0 Update 3 (Build 762) to do testing.
One of the key issues we are trying to address which was in your changelog:
- Fixed Outbound Caller ID when forwarding to external number.
We have done extensive testing again today and it still appears that there is internal routing logic which isn't correct for the forwarding to external.
The main thing we are seeing is that the Original Caller ID is not being written correctly and presented.
When looking at a PCAP from v20, we are seeing the call entering an internal "ROUTER" process which would appear where the call forward processing occurs
On v18 using the same trunk the call is processing as expected.
We then also confirmed this using the same trunk on a FreePBX server using the same trunk the call is processing as expected.
Seems that some more work might be required here within the ROUTER process which handles the call forwarding and rewriting.
For a call that
DOES NOT process via the ROUTER process, the caller ID is obeyed (ie. When a DID is on an extension, it will present the correct CLI through the trunk)
I hope that's helpful in getting a resolution
