There are two items of information that I would like to see clarified on this page:
  1. The recipient(s) to which each notification is sent (e.g. administrator, caller, recipient).
  2. Whether or not the variables for each notification type are restricted to that type or can be used in other notifications.
It could be helpful in some circumstances to have a variable for the "called number" available for notifications, since an incoming call could be passed to a destination other than the one originally called. If inbound rules are given names based on their respective DIDs, then this information is appended in %%PARTYNAME%% and %%CALLERNAME%%. However, I know people who would prefer to see this information separately.

Thank you for considering these and for providing helpful documentation!

Hello @David Liddle,

1. The administrator(s) defined in the Email settings of 3CX will receive the notifications for the following:

1619177944112.png

Emergency Call notifications can also be sent to specific email addresses, as defined by the admin in the Emergency Number configuration, in the Settings of 3CX.

The participants of an audio or video conference will receive the notifications which reference conferencing.

Queue notifications are sent to the Queue Managers, as defined in the Queue Notification tab.

Fax messages are sent to email addresses defined in the Fax Server settings.

Missed Call emails are sent to each user getting the missed call.

Voicemail notifications are sent to the extension users who receive the voicemail.

2. The variables used are unique for each type of email notification. You cannot use the variable of one notification, in another.

Hello!

I'd like to configure the Email template for conference invitations in order to show the date and time of the conference in the text of the invitation email. (The attached .ics file does not work for some users.)
I guess it would be easy to provide this data for the template but I can't find it in the 'variables in Email Templates' page.
Is there another way to include conference date and time or would it be possible to provide it as a variable?

Thank you and best regards!

Unfortunately that information does not exist as a variable that you can enter into the text body of the invitation email.

I cannot find a Variable for an Extension's DID to include in welcome letter. Does it exist?

Hey ;)

Is it possible to add on "Queue: call is lost" the variable for the name of the caller? At the moment i can just add the ID (Number).

Thank you

Hello,

I would like to add my voice to this request:

This variable has already been requested several times in the forum.
Please to the 3CX development: Provide the variable %%CALLERNAME%% for the notification about queues, especially "Queue: call is lost".

Thank you.
