Fairly new to 3CX and after having used the PBX options we are looking at the different conferencing options. But it's confusing to me.

Under Settings>License it says "Number of Simultaneous Meeting Participants".

Does that limit apply both to video and audio conferences or are the audio conference subject to the limits of "Number of Simultaneous Calls"?

Also when you set up a video conference could you have people attend over the phone as well so they can participate even if they are in their car or wherever? Or is it all audio or all video?

Or are the audio conference in 3CX not the same as a conference call? Or put another way, are the audio conference web based but the conference call sip based?

Thanks,
Pete

Audio only conference - calls over SIP - uses your simultaneous calls license
Teleconference with Audio/Video using Internet only uses the restriction you pointed out - "Number of Sim Meeting Participants"

Currently 3cx does not provide a "call in" option for Teleconference that would merge the Audio with a Phone line.I think this is what you are getting at.

This limit is only for webmeeting (video conference). Audio conferences are a part of the number of simultaneous calls of the PBX.

Currently people cannot attend a video meeting from a phone but the ability to do so is currently under development.

The audio conference and a conference call are SIP based and they work the same way
