Solved Virtual Machine

Hi All

Has anyone ever installed a virtual machine within a 3CX server? I have a customer who would like to utilize the server. The host would be Win Server 2016 running the 3CX and then a VM within this running linux.

Any experience with this guys and gals?

Thanks but the 3CX will be on the host not running in a virtual environment, I want to know if the 3CX can run on the REAL server and at the same time have a VM installed on the same server?

I think you find the best practice for Hyper-V is that the host machine runs no software except the HyperV function (except Hyper-V aware backup and antivirus)

Why not run 3CX in Hyper-V using debian

It is a MS license violation to run any services other then HyperV on a server that is also hosting VM's. You need to run 2 VM's on the physical, the 3CX and the other server as another VM. Unless they have changed, you can run 2 VM's on a standard license.
