Solved Voice & FAX under the same line

Hi there!

I have a request from a customer. They want to have voice and FAX under the same Inbound rule. They used to have a legacy Panasonic PBX, where an IVR message was saying "If you want to send a FAX, please dial 1 now. Otherwise, please hold the line and you will be transferred to the reception.

Is there such a possibility with 3CX? If yes, could someone explain how can I do that, please?

Hi,

You could use an IVR to achieve the same thing, but option 1 would send it to a fax extension and the timeout would send it to a different extension to have their call answered.

I don't think this was a great solution to begin with because when someone wants to send you a fax they won't be sitting on top of their fax to hear such a message, and many faxes have their speaker disabled anyway so they might not know that they should do this
