Voice mail issues: Who is "the Operator"

So when a caller is sent to voice mail it is offered to leave a message and press # or press "star" to contact the operator.
Can I edit that? I don't want them to reach the operator. Plus is there an extension that becomes the default operator anyway?

I don't see where that could be changed, I mean how do we gain control over WHO is the operator? Could the operator rotate between the different extensions? So everyday at lunch time there will be a different operator so all the other ones can eat while they turn who it should be the "designated operator" that day or that week?

Hi,

The operator is by default the first extension you create. You can change it from the Settings > general > and you can divert it to any other extension/ Digital receptionist or ring group.
