I thought in previous versions of 3CX there was a voice mailbox enrollment walk through? This would help you setup your self identification greeting and custom greeting the first time you log into an extension's mailbox. Was that ever the case? We are currently on 3CX v16.0.4.493.

Doesn't sound familiar. I remember a welcome email with the info - pushing Recorded Name and Greeting. Maybe I changed that myself.

@craigreilly that is a good idea. I will just update the 3CX Welcome email stating in bold letters what the differences are for self-ID message and a personal greeting. Too many people don't know and record their personal greeting under the self ID.

Yet I might be thinking of Cisco's Unity Connection Voicemail enrollment which walks you through the prompts to help users set it up correctly.

This is an interesting idea. I'll bet you could do this with a CFD application. We already have a tool that automatically checks for missing self-identification messages (needed to be accessible through the company directory) and auto-creates any that are missing by reading the extension's first/last name and uses Amazon Poly to create the recording. Maybe we could automate the whole process...
