So here is the deal, i know my server, user, and password info is correct, i have verified it. at one point 3cx was sending voicemails, but no sound. Also when leaving the voicemail, could not hear the ivr service.

Some more info would help like 3CX version, OS and network setup.

Are the phone and the 3CX on the same LAN?

If you are running Server 2008 make sure that you have installed the Desktop Experience role.

I am sorry, when i say sending voicemail, i meant in an email as an attachment. i am runnig the latest 3cx. I know that my smtp info is good, and it is entered in the 3cx.

It is extremely difficult to offer advice or professional opinion when we do not have a full picture of how your system is setup and operating.

Please provide the following information so that we can help you.

Operating System Information
Mail Server Information
Network Setup Information

OS= Vista
Mail Server= ISP SMTP (outgoing.verizon.net)
Network Type= Peer to Peer, with proxy and firewall, niether applies to the phone server. Which means that the server has free access to internet.

Just to make sure;

You have setup the outgoing mail server with both the user name and password?
You have Windows Media Player with the normal codecs installed?
You have two way audio on all extensions, trunks, cards, etc.
Does music on hold work?
You have checked that "PBX Delivers Audio" is enabled on the incoming trunk?

Also,

What kind of SIP devices do you have?
Do you use an ATA or a SIP Trunk?

You have setup the outgoing mail server with both the user name and password? =====Yes
You have Windows Media Player with the normal codecs installed? =====Not Sure
You have two way audio on all extensions, trunks, cards, etc. =======Explian
Does music on hold work? ======Yes, but it didn't
You have checked that "PBX Delivers Audio" is enabled on the incoming trunk? =====Yes

I am using both PSTN Gateway (skype), and Call Centric (VOIP)

Go to Start > All Programs > See if Windows Media Player is there. If its not you will need to download and install it so your computer can process the audio.

Two way audio means you can hear and talk to the person on the other end of the line from both ends. EG, Everything works just peachy.

If your music on hold isn't working that leaves me to believe its an audio codec issue.

Voicemail works, it is not emailing the notificaton. At one point i didn't get audio but got the notification, until i played with some settings. So i have everything working but the emails.

Can you turn on debug logging, leave a voicemail and post the log to the forum.

i know the email server works and the settings are right because i can get an email when i set up ext.

You need to investigate why your services are crashing.

ok lets try this, what are the possible reasons that i am not getting email notifications?

I have verified:
1) the email server is working, when i set up a new ext, they recieve an email, and
2) the settings for the ext are correct.

everything else works flawlessly. I just want to get this to work.

According to the log you posted your services are crashing, this can be for a number of reasons including programmatic error or lack of memory.

One thing you may wish to investigate is if your ISP blocks large attachments, I have seen some providers block attachments as small as 3Mb.

Try to set it up with another POP/SMTP server, If you don't have one there are some free options in the VMware department.

i have given up on the clip going out, i have just an email notification and it works fine, they can dial in for now. thanks for your help.
