I have a 4 digit extension system. I’ve made the voicemail 9999. I want to have anyone call into a specific mailbox but when they dial 9999 it’s their own voicemail versus another mailbox that is the general. How do they call into that box?

Dial 9999, followed by the # key and the extension - you maybe asked for the voicemail pin number

Hello,

Each extension has its own mailbox, and mailboxes aren't shared.

However if you create a Ring Group, and set the 'Destination if no answer' to the voicemail box of the ring group, it will alert each member of the group. The voicemail will be attached to an email to each group member of the ring group.

@VasilisV_3CX, How does one record a greeting for the ring group voicemail box?

@greatchoice, to expand a bit on what @Saqqara wrote, call 9999, and the message will ask for your PIN. Ignore that and press #, and it will prompt for the extension to log in (then, that extension's PIN).

Hi @SteveITS, the greeting used by Ring Group VMs is the default prompt set on the PBX and is not able to be changed at present.
