I've created an extension purely to use as a voicemail extension when there's no answer from a ring group. I want multiple people to be able to retrieve the messages on this extension.

I'm having problems with the forwarding rules - I want to have one message play during the day ("no one available to take your call") and another message out of hours ("our offices are closed") but this doesn't seem to be working for me. Only the "available" message ever plays, no matter what I assign to the "DND" status message. I've forced the system into day and night mode using the *64 system code but no matter what I do I can't seem to have these prompts change.
Before I switch to having a separate extension with just the "offices closed" message, can someone suggest what I'm missing?

Thanks

Hi @Steve Bootes

The *64 command does not affect extension status, it only affects trunks. I would recommend testing your setup by changing the status of the extension manually and see if that works.
Make sure that you have the right file selected under the Available and DND status and that all your routes for internal and external calls point to voicemail.
