Hello there,

We are reseller for 3CX, and one of our clients has an issue with their voicemails. They only use handsets (no softphones/mobiles). And on few of their handsets it keeps showing 1 unread Voicemail, even though there is none. I have gone into the 3CX Data folder and can see no Voicemails there for the extensions in question. Can someone help with this issue?

So generally when asking for help you'll want to provide just a wee bit more detail. 3CX version, platform (windows or linux), make/model/fw version of the handsets. That being said I've seen this issue before and it seems to resolve itself. You could try your luck at opening a ticket with support since you are a reseller.

Have you tried rebooting the phone? I could imagine that a VM notification was sent to the phone, but it missed the notification that the voicemail was deleted.

Have rebooted the phone multiple times, no luck.

Is it possible you have multiple accounts configured on your phone? It is a common practice to configure a secondary account on a phone for the company after-hours voicemail box? Just grasping at straws at the moment. The only other suggestion I can offer is to reboot your PBX.

To confirm what you said previously, you already checked in the voicemail path on your 3CX server and no files exist in the extension's folder?

C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Extensions\<extension>

Hi Scott

I think your going to have to factory reset and re-provision the phone/s, I have had this a few times. It occurs when changing settings within the voicemail settings of an extension e.g. send voicemail as attachment and delete from mailbox
