Hello,

I am running the latest version of V16 and all internal extensions are working as expected via SIP phones. However, when I dial into the system externally and authenticate to the voicemail system to make an outbound call, recipients are receiving the phone number of whatever Iine I called into the voicemail system from. For example... the 3cx trunk number is 111-222-3333 and if I call in from a payphone 555-555-5555, the 555 number is displaying.

The whole point is to mask the caller ID and hide a mobile number. How can I set this up? The "Outbound" caller ID is set inside the extension i am calling out of.

Thanks!

This will probably require changing one of the caller Id settings, in the Outbound Settings for the trunk group. However, this is going to affect other users of that trunk group as well. Anyone that forwards their phone , or uses Ring my mobile, and expects to see the originators caller ID, won't

You might check with your provider, to see if they will allow you to register a second trunk group for no additional charge. You could then dial a different outbound prefix, to choose that trunk group, and send a "set" number

When I modify "From : User Part" on the external trunk from the original "OriginatorCallerID" to "LineNumber" this appears to have the correct behavior. Calls are now being received by the system trunk number vs the mobile number calling inbound to use system as a relay.

This is a good idea. I will check into this.

Thanks!
