I'm not sure what the deal is with this, the phone's Time/Date is right, as it displays on the screen. The PBX's time zone is set correctly (both Eastern)

The timestamp as read on the voicemail is off by 3 hours. If I had to fathom a guess, it would be that the Host PC's time is off, but I'd have to go on site to check that.

This is hosted at the customer's office, on a dedicated PC.

Does anyone know for certain where the system pulls the time used for Voicemail time stamps?

From the server/PC. Most sets pick up time from a locally (set) configured NTP server

Hello @Bill Sherman

Which timestamp are you referring to? The filename timestamp or the time in the email?

I have a server with the same / similar issue: -
Call was made - 12/12/2018 12:26:07 PM
Voicemail time stamp is - 20181211232152 (2018/12/11 23:21:52)
Time zone and time on the server are correct.
@YiannisH_3CX - this is not the time stamp of the email, that is also correct.

I noticed this while troubleshooting blank voicemail recordings.

If you open the 3CX Activity Log, and look at the most recent entry, does that time seem to be correct?

@leejor - yea those times are correct

Hello @GlenS

Please note that the filename of the voicemail file is always saved in UTC time so if the time you are getting is UTC, that is correct.

@YiannisH_3CX thanks for the info, that makes a whole lot of sense now.

Glad i could help
