And again good day dear All,

Found out today that most new extensions do not have voicemail pick up at all, they just keep ringing indefinitely. Meanwhile, on some other - older - extensions VM works properly. I compared settings for both extensions line by line and everything is identical (except for id/name stuff) - under Voicemail and Forwarding tabs as well as rest of them. Are there any reasons why Voicemail wouldn't work for some but not others ? Thanks

By "new extensions", do you mean those just recently added, in the last day, or so? Are the extensions able to dial 999 and access the VM system with their PIN?

Have you tried a restart of services?

Actually, the "new" thing was a coincidence - I created some brand new extensions without this artifact. So it's really just some have this issue and some don't, even though everyone can access VM directly via 999. Restarting seems to have no effect.

Hi @gsc-unixux,

With the extensions that have this problem, have you tried to call them while unregistered? The setting 'if I am busy or my phone is unregistered, forward calls to:' will route them to voicemail as shown below.

From the Switchboard, you should be able to confirm that the call that is ringing indefinitely is in fact ringing their extension rather than being forwarded to another extension / queue etc.

Can you confirm that:
  1. The affected extension which is not registered at the time, does not forward to voicemail at all (it should forward to voicemail)
  2. No forwards exist that route the calls to anyone else other than the extension itself (confirmable via the Switchboard).
