Usually when someone leaves a voicemail on another persons phone, they hang up their line when they've finished with what they have to say. However, when i get voicemails through my VoIP system, they will only save if the person leaving the voicemail presses 0 to end the call and # to save the message when they're done. Is this just a setting that i can change to make the message save when the line is cut off, or does 3CX not offer that?

No it should save without having to press anything. Just tried it and works fine. Message light went on 2 seconds after hanging up. Call Assistant did the same.

Can you try it with another extension?

Post your log files from the call.
Here's what mine say:

Hi fpuser,

Which version in use? The current 3CX Phone System v3.0.2328.0 works fine.

Please found more information about VM as below:

When you close the phone without press anything, it will save the message.
When you press # then you press 0 , it will save.
When/if for some reason the line stays open for 2 minutes, the voicemail will stop recording after 2 minutes and save.
When you press # but you don't press 0 it will not save

5qg4 is right. This was indeed the behavior on a previous version (3.0.1928)

In the current version this was fixed.

Regards

v3.0.1928.0 is what i'm running, so that must be the problem. I will update as soon as possible and hopefully that will fix the problem. Thank you.
