Solved W52 cant access 3CX phonebook after manual reprovision

Has anyone had the following issue
We have a system on v18 update 5 build 418
Since the W52 has become EOL and no longer auto provisions,we have manually reprovisioned the phones and whenever we try to access the phonebook we get a "connection error"
The phones used to be able to access it before update 5 and they were able to auto provision.
Is this one of the features that has been lost due to build 5 and the phone being EOL ?

we are using 3CX SBC remote,we did set up a test phone remotely from our office as Direct SIP(stun-remote) as this has the same problem with the directory

Hi Tony,

Yes this is due to the changes in Update 5 which brought in stricter TLS requirements to increase security.

Older models that are no longer receiving firmware updates from the manufacturer will not contain the TLS requirements that U5 has and this means they are not able to download files from your 3CX server.

The phonebook downloads over TLS, and since this is no longer possible, the device will not be able to populate the phonebook.
