or that the number you have dialed is busy

Hi Folks,

I have a few users receiving that automated message on 3CX, but I'm not sure how or where its coming from.
We use Twilio as a sip provider. I'd assume its coming from there rather than 3CX possibly?

It only happens to 1 or two users when they try to call mobile numbers.

This happens on our 3CX system in Australia, so I can't really test it.
This happens when using the 3CX app.

Other users it seems to work fine for, could this be an ISP issue?
I don't see how it would work for some users but not others. only difference might be ISP.

I would say this is a sip provider issue

Could also be the mobile provider on the far end having issues. Not 3cx. Have your provider do a trace on the call. Need specific from number, to number, date, time - usually. They should be able to give you more information.

Hi,

Your PBX does not control an overseas network, its fairly certain this is coming from the trunk provider.

You should see outgoing calls being completed normally for the specific timestamps.

Contact your provider with those timestamps for further investigation, although it might just be a temporary network issue.

I would compare (in the 3CX Activity Log), a working call, with one that has received the recording. Was the number sent, in both cases, exactly the same? Does the SIP reply , from the provider differ? Was the sent caller ID different, where one caller allways get through and one always fails? Is the called number always the same, or confirmed to be with the same mobile provider? Is this actually calling international numbers, or local mobile numbers? Does the recording (accent?) give any indication of where it originates?
