Trying to use the web client to make calls. Whenever I try I get "Error Permission Denied" That's if I'm trying to make a call outside, or if I'm trying to reach an extension on the network. 3cx version 16.0.1.273, latest version of windows 10.

hi jmalin

Please provide some more information:

1. Do you hear the message or do see it on the screen?

2. What browser are you using and what version is it?

3. Are you in webclient mode or phone mode?

4. Do other extensions work fine in the webclient

5. Is this only in the webclient exclusively? Do deskphones or desktop clients work fine?

Ensure you've allowed your browser access to your microphone. For instance in Chrome's Settings look under Site Settings for "microphone."

Hi together, i have the same problem.

When i use the Webclient Softphone in Chrome 76.0.3809.100 on a Mac i get the Error "Permission denied by system". I get the message also with other Extensions on the same Mac (Manager and User Ext.).

I tried the Safari Browser and it works. So i think it is a Chrome problem. I deleted all Chrome permissions for our 3cx URL and add it again after chrome asked me (microphone, audio, notofications, etc.) but still the same error. See attachment.

Any idea? Is it a chrome problem?

additional Info: I tried firefox as well - and it works in firefox.

Any Idea why Chrome isnt working?

hi @prointernetgmbh

Please open an incognito window in chrome, and try logging into your webclient again. Does the problem go away in this case?

Hi JohnS_3CX,

yes i tried this too. But same error.

This can be triggered when the system cannot access the microphone for example:

hi John,

Chrome: 76.0.3809.100
Mac: Mojave 10.14.5
PBX: 16.0.2.910

We updated to the latest stable 3CX Version 3 days ago. Maybe there is a problem after the PBX Update?

Have you tried using a Chrome on a PC to see if this issue is PBX or browser related?

Hi Frederick, yes. Other Macs and PC Webclients are working.

Hi Frederick, yes. Other Macs and PC Webclients are working.
In that case, I suggest you try uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling and see if that makes a difference. Maybe try clearing your cache and cookies before. Also, clear Site Data since those are not in Cache/Cookies.

i allready reinstall chrome, but without delete the preferences in the library folder. Maybe i have to delete the folder too. I will test it on monday and i will give feedback here asap.

Hi together. Fully uninstall Chrome was the solution. After uninstall Chrome App under mac go to Folder "~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome" and delete the folder chrome" After that reinstall Chrome.

Hi,

I'm glad this was resolved, thanks for sharing your solution
