Hi,

I have a 3CX user that wants to use their Apple Airpods with their 3CX Web Client on a Mac with Google Chrome. Although it works, the audio cuts out every so often during a phone call.

I tried the same set up with a pair of Jabra Elite Active 65ts and the phone call quality was flawless.

Has anyone got experience with Apple Airpods connected to a Mac via Bluetooth and using the Web Client in Chrome?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed,

I experienced something similar with another bluetooth headset on a windows laptop. Audio quality was spotty at best. I was hoping to cut the wires and stop using a USB headset but i'll give the Jabra Elite Active 65ts a try and see how those work.

Hope the airpod issue gets fixed.

Regards,

Jose

Hi Ed,

Although we do not specifically support those as a headset, they might still be able to work. I also noticed similar behavior on the mac with other bluetooth devices (i.e like an external speaker). Try the following which worked for me:

  1. Turn off the iPhone bluetooth when you test this (so the airpods will not be connected to more than one device at the same time and receive interrupts)
  2. click the bluetooth icon on your mac, disconnect the airpods
  3. click it again to reconnect them.

You can now play some audio from youtube for example to make sure the audio is not cutting out, and then close youtube and launch the webclient. See if it works now.
