Hi guys,

Very excited about the new webclient feature to make calls because I am a linux user and have been lacking a client. This is a deal maker feature.

But please document it. I make a new extension, I log in to the webclient.. then what? the phone appears red

Please help, this elevates 3cx to whole different level for me

PS I am on 15.5.15502.6 on your debian stretch image

Hello @koulis1234

To enable the client to be able to make and receive calls without a phone you need to navigate to the PBX Settings / PBX and enable the option "Enable WebRTC softphone in Web Client (Beta)".
Please note that you need to access the client with the https link for this to work.
You can also find additional functions of the web client here: https://www.3cx.com/user-manual/web-client/

I've tried this on two different computers with headset and laptop issuing built in mic/speakers. I can't get audio on either side.

The dial pad tones and ringing will play from the WebRTC connection, call will connect to the number dialed but no audio.

Firewall checks are good and connecting via HTTPS. The service is enabled in the management portal also.

Are there any extra codecs to be installed or certain Chrome extensions?

I finally got it to work.

I found a link that showed you also need to forward UDP 48000 - 65335 for WebMeeting. Once I added those the WebRTC would work and could make calls on a headset through the web page.

The post at https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-phone-system-audio-ports-increased.60235/ didn't show these being added anywhere. I also didn't see this port range in the setup guide listed at https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/firewall-router-configuration/.

The firewall test will also pass without these ports being forwarded. Add them to your firewall and see if this fixes your issue as well.

Where did you forward this port range 48000-65335. Outbound?

Inbound to the 3CX host.
