Will the WebClient control the Polycom VXX series of phones? If not, is there any plans for this to work in the future? I am testing with a VXX410 and it does not show up under the phone setting on the webclient. I just wanted to make sure I did not have some other issue.

I am running in a hosted environment using SBC. Everything else seems to work great, including park, announced transfer, BLF's, etc.

A lot of potential clients have these hosted on other solutions and it would be a good option and sales talking point to get them to move to 3CX.

I don't see anything definitive but when I search for VVX and CSTA I see references in the 5.8 software release notes. So the phone needs to support CSTA for it to work in the web client. So 3CX will need to be using/supporting that firmware level for this to work. They recently added SBC support so it does look like progress is being made but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Last time I tested this functionality with Polycom there was only the functionality of "Make Call" - call is made and "calls" the phone for approval before call is placed.

Since "preferred" features are now being added for Polycom I guess it is only a matter of time but I would double check your firmware of the phone and if out of data have a re-test and if that fails check and add on the Ideas site if a string is not present.

Hello @neville

Please note that Polycom devices are not yet supported for CSTA support so they will not show up in the web client as an available device for control. I would recommend posting this as a feature request to our ideas section of the forum https://www.3cx.com/community/forums/3cx-ideas/ . All posts are reviewed by their corresponding Departments and, if feasible and voted for by other users as well, may be implemented in an upcoming service pack or update.

Thanks to all. That is what I thought, but wanted to doublecheck.

Glad we could assist
