Hi

we are trying to use 3CX only via Web Client Softphone by using the Chome Extension on mac OS.

With this we are experiencing the problem that while the extension and the #webclient look like everything is normal they can not receive or make calls. When we try to make a call we get the error message:

WebRTC line is not registered

There is no way to get the WebRTC client working again - changing, the availability status, not even logging out and in again in the webclient. Only closing the Chrome browser and starting it again fixes it. But this is no viable workaround, we are using Chrome for support and have multiple tabs with chats and email communications open at the same time, restarting the browser multiple times a week is not a solution.

I have found the same problem, however, even nuking the chrome browser doesn't fix it.

Please try this. This is the new Edge, its chromium platform and 3CX has an extension for it. Install and register after you go to the /webclient page, top left corner when you log in to the users page.

At the bottom, you select MacOS.

Same problem here with a number of users on chrome, switching browser to MS Edge may work as a temp workaround but ideally, a chrome fix would be better...

Hello @Tony Cave ,

The issue with WebRTC is something that will be addressed on the upcoming release of Chrome/Edge Extension.
We are doing our best to have a release during the next 1-2 weeks.

Many thanks for the update Constantinos, I'll keep an eye out for it!

Thanks Constantinos,

Can I assume that the new extension will auto update via chrome updates, or doe's it require a manual intervention...

Hello @Tony Cave
How is it going the Chrome Extension?

Hi Constantinos,

Seems to have resolved the original issue, although now the extension randomly takes focus whilst you are working without a call being active, trying to work out a way to recreate the issue for you but so far it appears fairly random.

Thank you for your feedback. Please check it out and keep me posted.

Did you manage to solve the issue with randomly taking focus? We're experiencing the same issue on latest Mac OS X, Chrome and Extension.

I have not had any reports of randomly taking focus. But reports of client not ringing are coming back in. on OSX, Chrome + Extension all latest versions.

Randomly taking focus might be that the server reconnected, updated or something similar.

When one of those events take place, you will see the Chrome Extensions taking focus.

Can you please elaborate a bit more about ringing problems? What is the problem ? It is something that you had in the past that resolved and now is back?

What version of PBX you are into ?

Hi,
Original issue few months back seemed to be resolved with the newest update.
Then we had an issue where I opened a trouble ticket and after much logs it was chalked up to timeout and unstable internet. This has been resolved due to ISP fix.
Now we have a new complaint that we are only starting to investigate. I haven’t opened a ticket yet because I am still gathering details but the story is familiar “I have the client open but it doesn’t ring.” The customer is only able to even tell because after no answer it forward to mobile.

latest PBX ,just saw the new hot fix.. going to be a fun weekend, time to send out some maintenance notices.

Ok so as soon as you have all the details, then please proceed and open a support ticket to give a more detailed check.

The details are as follows and similar to the above - the phone pops up to the front of the screen several times throughout the day however the client does not have any ringing or calls coming in.

It is a new PBX with just a few users trying the software before they commit. I'll go ahead and open the ticket.

this is Mac users.
