we determine the base language from the OS, OVH from the Debian image has chosen EN I assume, which makes sense to use, globally speaking. So yes, it should be changed to match your preference. The iso installer uses this from the lang selection during the installation to make from the onset a pair.

As always, Backup, download backup to your PC, change, reboot, retry, (optional revert).
I think OVH also offers disc snapshots

First problem for me is how to ssh on OVH instance as ovh support explain me pbxpress bypass their normal process so there is no user nor SSH key created to access instance.
Never used SSH on OVH and it seems to be so complicated to understand what and where to do something to be able to SSH.

I'm facing the same issue with OVH.
 
Changing the locale in Debian is fairly simple but without SSH keys/credentials, you won't be able to connect via SSH so no way to change that.

Hello Fred,
yes, SSH access this is my first problem with OVH, their support is not giving any info, they said to me , we have external companies that can do this for you but not for free.
very good feeling with OVH o_O

OVH say in it's documentation, root password is send by mail when instance is created, so as I have used pbxpress , how can I know which root password to use for first SSH access?

turning round with this problem and no idea how to be able to do simple things like SSH only because have no credentials and nowhere to find them.

3CX team , If there's an easy way to access SSH , please let me know how, thanks.
I 'm not a linux guru so please don't give me wide step to do .

that's might be an issue, as I think you cannot re-download it after the first generation
 
Okay I had a call with OVH, he's speaking about public and private SSH Key, as if we created it via OVH Doc but when we create the Key Pair (following 3CX Doc) we're only generating it on Horizon Manager where we don't manage private key (or we do?) and then need the PEM file to be saved.

I tried it again : Create Key Pair -> Pick a name -> A random popup with PEM to save or you'll be block later.. I assume that's only OVH dev but could you could advise about saving that PEM file to a secure place.
 
Putty doc saved my life thanks Stefan (i've saved pem file during VM install so complete process has been done with putty doc :) )

Once connected SSH
Have done this to change locale set in EN_US.UTF-8 by default to have it in French
from root privilèges doing : sudo su
apt-get install locales
dpkg-reconfigure locales
logout
login
locale (check it came into French --> ok)
3CX reboot
send welcome email (good they are in French)
