Can we get the QR code back into the welcome email please? Before setting up 3CX on a mobile was a breeze. Install program and scan the QR in the Welcome email. I could roll out a phone in 60 seconds. That option is now gone and involves logging into a web client to get to the QR code. We don't encourage the web client in-house. It gives the user access to too many settings they can (and have) screwed up.

I also used to be able to click the config file in the Welcome email on a phone to have the config picked up. Now it looks like QR is the enforced method on mobile installs only. My single page "How to setup 3CX on Mobile" document is now five pages with all the described steps and screenshots. This is not progress.

Can we simplify this process please?

What version of 3CX are you running? I am on V16 and just checked QR code, get_started_with_3cx_DEFAULT and .3cxconfig file are part of the welcome email.

Latest version of v16. I have the two attachments, no QR.

Here's the email I get.

My welcome email is exactly the same but with qr.png. It's possible that your email provider/email client/email security provider is blocking the png file. This happened to me a couple of years ago when we implemented Mimecast.

Email from our on-prem 3CX goes direct to our on-prem Exchange (They are on the same VM Host) and does not go through any form of email filtering. Checked on three users, in Outlook and OWA. I looked in settings for a QR check box, but came up dry.

Interesting, le'ts see if senior members here have any other suggestions.

Is your on-premise exch doing attachment blocking?

Go to www.smtp2go.com and setup a free account to mail relay outside your org for this service. You may have to have other members of your team involved to help unless you take care of everything inhouse your self. You will have to set up a receive connector to allow your phone system server to relay out/in and may sure your phone server can send mail out your firewall. Change the mail server settings in 3CX to use smtp2go and test to see if you can get QR using this method.
