Solved Welcome emails not being sent.

Hi

We have seen this issue on a number of occasions and I though it was time to get to the bottom of the cause.

When we add new users and hit send welcome email the message never arrives. We are using the 3CX SMTP server as this cannot be changed and when I hit test in settings the message 'AuthenticationInvalidCredentials: 5.7.0 Denied' is displayed in red.

The 3CX has an active licensed but I think given it is 8 lines will fall under the free tier when it is renewed.

Check the version as it appears in the dashboard:

Does it end in .6 ?

Take a look at this post, you might have to make some adjustments on your network (or revert any recent changes you may have done)

Hi John

Thanks that was exactly it. We migrated the 3CX to a new router and had neglected to update the external IP in the setting.
