By default, I enable the 'Allow Multiple Calls' option on all extensions with the understanding that calls won't be dropped by users unnecessarily, and will look after calls placed on hold/shared parks. However I really don't know how this option actually works. Can someone explain what the 'Allow Multiple Calls' option does and how it affects calls in Queues and Call Groups? I've tried to find a clear definition but have yet to find one. Thanks in advance.

Allow multiple calls allows you to receive multiple calls made directly to that extension. I.E. calling it or inbound DID rule.

You won't receive a second call from a ring group or queue.

Rather than a second call going to voicemail, the set should present a call waiting tone, allowing the called party, the option to put the first call on hold.
