Our team has a database full of our employees worker information (name, phone number, store #, department, etc.). We have also built an API for this database that many of our other systems use to pull employee data. We would like to integrate our API in with our 3CX if possible to get better caller ID information. Ideally we could reference the incoming phone number to our database and if it matches an employees phone number we could then give the employee name and store number if applicable.
Has anyone successfully done something like this? And if so, could you point in the direction of a guide or post that you used. I have been googling but cant find anything that matches what we are looking to do.
I would also love to hear alternative ideas on systems that may easily link with 3CX that we can replicate our database into.
