I have a customer that asks me every other week to change the person's (ie extension's) voicemail that picks up their main incoming group if no one answers. What is the 'correct way to do this so that it is less tied to one single individual, but also so that there is no chance of missing messages.
Thanks

Use one voicemail that sends messages via email to a distribution group or shared mailbox. Then point your RG/Queues DNA to that voicemail.

As @ConceptsWeb mentioned, you can use the built-in voicemail to email feature. However, if you want to turn on the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on your phone, you may want to look at our 3CX Voicemail Manager. Our tool's Group email feature can push the voicemail to multiple extensions, but the real bonus is that if anyone in the group listens to the voicemail, the MWI is turned off for everyone else so you do not have multiple people chasing the same voicemail.
