When forwarding a call to an outside number, original caller id is not going trough. Active DID of pbx does.

We tried changing outbound parameters, but that only worked for internal forwarding. We are trying to make it work for when the call gets forwarded tot an outside number. Does anyone have more information.

Hi Hagan,

In the SIP trunk on the Outbound parameters tab, look for the Remote Party ID section and change it as shown in the screenshot below.

You need to make sure that your provider supports this functionality and where they want this information sent for this to work.
I would recommend using a supported provider that supports this functionality.

This is not universal and a change like this without knowing if its supported by the provider could break outbound calls in general.

You must also verify that the original caller ID (or any modifications to the CID you've made in 3CX, to allow re-dial, such as adding a prefix), are in a format acceptable to your provider.
